The location is ideal, just steps away from the main square, making it easy to explore the area. Breakfast options catered to different tastes were a highlight, and the friendly staff offered great local tips. However, many rooms lack windows, creating a claustrophobic feel, and early risers may struggle with hot water. A fun dining choice nearby is the local restaurant, where the food kept me coming back every day.

I enjoyed my stay at Casona in Oaxaca a lot. The location couldn't have been better, just a couple of blocks from the Zocalo. I loved the tranquil courtyard that offered a peaceful escape from the city's hustle. My room was a King Room, spacious and clean, giving me great comfort after a day of exploring. The charming antique decor really added to the experience. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring traditional Oaxacan cuisine with excellent service. However, there were a few issues. The hot water took a while to come on and wasn't as hot as I preferred. The chairs in the courtyard made noise when moved, which disrupted the calm atmosphere in the mornings. Overall, though, I would definitely return for the great location and beautiful ambiance.

The room was spacious and clean, which made our stay super comfortable. I loved that there was A/C since it was humid outside. The height of the step to the bathroom was a bit awkward, though. It felt a little noisy at times too, but not enough to bother us. Overall, it had all the basics we needed and good wifi.

The breakfast was a delight, with delicious homemade cakes to kick-start your day! The location is a gem, just a short stroll from the main plaza and local eateries like Taqueria Don Juanito—pure bliss for foodies. Plus, the beautiful courtyard is a perfect chill spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
While the vibe was great, we had some maintenance quirks. The shower had a leak, and the safe was a bit stubborn at first. The door lock situation was quite the adventure, blocking us until we figured out the screw drama.

Charming central courtyard, spacious double room, affordable laundry service
But the floors need serious attention!!! The black streaks in the bathroom and dust on the furniture were off-putting and really diminished the experience of what could be a great place!!!
